Culled from two nights at Boston's baseball mecca, Fenway Park, this sixth volume in the avalanche of live material the Dave Matthews Band has released through its Live Trax series delivers four discs of acoustic funk jammery punctuated by Matthews' scat-like vocal stylings and talent for keeping the entertainment levels maxed. South Africa's god of the acoustic guitar proves he knows where he is with a roof-raising cover of "Sweet Caroline," the song blasted over the speakers during the eighth inning of every Red Sox home game.

This four-disc set, recorded this summer at Fenway Park in Boston, is your typical DMB live
album: pretty hot in places and pretty unnecessary in others. The band is particularly
energized, though, and the set is tipped slightly toward mid-Nineties favorites -- including
an eighteen-minute "Jimi Thing," worth sitting all the way through if you're in the right
frame of mind.
