Deitrick Haddon

On Haddon’s fifth studio release one doesn't find his tightest beats, slickest hooks, or most radio ready production. Instead, it's a slow moving reveal, subtle and complex with unpredictable composition that makes sense in the same way that freeform jazz does. Here, R&B with minimal hip-hop fringes get to play by those same non-rules. The Jackson-esque tremor in his vocals make the ballads work.
