Rhapsody

Calling on Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins influences, Marrs' sound was solid and clamored for as indie faves, so naturally their major label debut applied an "if it ain't broke, release it" ethos. Somehow this one missed the charts, which must have been distracted since the LP made countless "year's best" lists. Their definitive, melodic modern rock is downright influential.
