Cuban singer, songwriter, bassist and producer Descemer Bueno was one of the defining voices behind the first Yerba Buena release, 2003's President Alien. In fact, he co-founded the group with Venezuela's Andres Levin, though creative differences led him to leave the group before their second release, 2005's Island Life, to pursue solo work.
