Although fictional death metal band Dethklok may not be the world's most heavy and popular band, as they claim in the cartoon series Metalocalypse, there is no question about the heaviosity of Dethalbum. A collection of songs from every brutal episode of season one, this soundtrack was written by creator Brendan Small, who tackles vocal duties, guitars and bass, while acclaimed drummer Gene Hoglan of Death and Strapping Young Lad takes on percussion. Whether mocking metal or paying homage to the genre's cliches, Dethalbum is an entertaining piece of metal pop culture.
