Dexter Gordon

This tenor sax titan was celebrated for his extended bop jams, but he was equally adept at stretching out on sumptuous, heart-melting ballads. This LP can work as sophisticated make-out music, but Gordon's playing has so much depth and passion that much of this album can also ease the pain when your "one and only" walks out of your life forever.
