Multiple Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves has pipes strong enough to blow Celine Dion off the deck of a battleship ("Over the Weekend"); however, most of the time she wisely eases back and just lets her beautifully pure voice pour out of her. The standards include "Midnight Sun," "Once I Loved" and the Oscar-winning "Windmills of Your Mind," but Reeves also succeeds in bringing fresh material to jazz. The old Temptations classic "Just My Imagination" works perfectly, while Reeves delights with a rambling blues based on her mom's upbeat attitude -- "Today Will Be a Good Day."
