Minneapolis' punk rock torch bearers lead the way for the ranks of green-haired, parent-hating kids with their fourth record, a concept album of sorts, the concept being "America sucks." Global warming, celebrities at the pig trough, disastrous foreign policy, asinine religiosity, domestic unrest and dissatisfaction -- no issue is left unaddressed. The apolitical will be glad to know, however, that the set, based around solid guitars and singer/bassist Patrick Costello's smoothed out rasp, does manage to fit in some numbers about the stuff that really matters (read: dames).
