Dinosaur Jr.'s 1991 major label debut defined their sound for albums to come, and includes rollicking folk-punk ("The Wagon") and tenderly warbled tunes ("Flying Cloud"). J Mascis' constipated wail and blistering guitar work became the call of the Slacker generation.

McGuinn acolyte, there's no denying that his pretty melodies and drawling, laid-back voice
