Dirty on Purpose

As hodge-podge collections go, Like Bees packs a wallop. A handful of live cuts (including an intimate acoustic version of "No Radio" from 2006's Hallelujah Sirens), some choice new material (check out "Audience in the Room," which balances glistening guitars and buzzing aural energy with reserved, almost detached vocals), and one deep, dark, seriously intense cover of Real Life's "Send Me an Angel" (featuring "backup vocal acrobatics" from the Jealous Girlfriends' Holly Miranda) round out this hybrid EP/album from spaced-out Brooklyn rockers Dirty on Purpose.
