Rhapsody

Dobie Gray is best known for his smash hit "Drift Away" (which was admirably covered in 2002 by Uncle Kracker), but we implore you to check out "The Time I Loved You The Most." It's loaded with some rich watery pedal steel notes, a soulful backbeat, cowbell (for all those with "the fever"), soaring harmonies and a wicked, fuzzed-out slide guitar reminiscent of Fly Burrito Brother Sneaky Pete Kleinow's cult classic "The Train Song." All the other songs available here are just as good.
