The project called Dominatrix was two men who created just one song. Ken Lockie (of Cowboys International) and Stuart Arbright joined to produce the Warlock Records track "Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight" to wide clubland success in 1984. A woman's deadpan voice languorously issues a blasé narrative about a party over highly structured synth loops and stiff, minimalist beats. They've created a track that corsets and fetters the already restrained sounds of Tony Butler's Freestyle productions with cold, rigid, proto-Electro discipline.
