About

As a member of L.A. supergroup the Eagles, Don Henley proved his talents as a singer, songwriter and drummer, leading the band through its most successful period. With the disintegration of the Eagles, it seemed Henley would fade away, but the1982 smash hit "Dirty Laundry" put the sharp-witted songwriter back in the limelight. In 1984 he released Building the Perfect Beast and hit again with "Boys Of Summer." The End of the Innocence followed in 1989, an album in which Henley stripped his songs of any existing rock 'n' roll edge and applied incredible amounts of candlelit schmaltz to bitter divorce ballads - yielding another string of hits. Henley remained silent throughout the 1990s, instead devoting his time to a number of environmental causes. He returned to recording in 2000, with Inside Job. A live set, One of These Nights, came out in 2002.
