Parents, perk up your ears: TV isn't the only way to distract your kids. Read-along stories can be just as absorbing, and Don Sebesky's Grammy-nominated production of The Velveteen Rabbit, with its remarkably dramatic musical accompaniment, fits the bill perfectly. Narrator Janina Serden moves a little quickly through the story for our taste, but the songs and general dynamism of the recording make up for it.
