Dudley Perkins

Out-of-tune, warbling and just plain weird, Dudley's voice is great bad singing, and Expressions is soulful and fragile -- infectiously funky and brilliantly warped. Madlib masterfully handles the production, trading the genre-less miasma of recent Quasimoto and Madvillain albums for a Sly-seamed funk. Hip-hop's legion of stony basement cadets will go gah gah.
