DYS

About

Wolfpack -- the first release from DYS -- was an incendiary device of searing Punk intensity that ignited a great deal of notoriety for the band. The year was 1982, and the burgeoning Straight-Edge scene embraced the band's defiant lyrics and stop-and-go moshers with open arms. Unfortunately, its cheese-metal follow-up -- Fire and Ice -- was such an abysmal disappointment that fans of their debut abandoned the group like a sinking ship. DYS soon plummeted out of sight, never to return to the surface. Despite the spottiness of their brief career, the band's intense debut still holds its own as a classic of American Hardcore.
