Eddie Costa

This is Eddie Costa's 1958 jazz exploration of Frank Loesser brilliant Broadway score. The vibraphonist's cool-toned but often percussive bop lights a fire under the piano of a pre-fame Bill Evans, who muscles up for this set. Costa was killed in a car accident in 1961 and this is only one of a handful of in-print LPs where he's featured as group leader.
