Rhapsody

This 1998 release showcases Palmieri's highly influential piano playing as well as his continuing dominance in all things Salsa. A player who's been through diluted smooth jazz as well as Monk-style explorations, Palmieri's playing is lively, danceable and inventive. Afro-Cuban influences abound, and most -- if not all -- of the Big Band numbers are eminently danceable.
