The follow-up to the insanely popular MCMXC A.D., The Cross of Changes works with a similar kind of pan-spirituality that pervades and often overtakes the dense, dark-hued proceedings. "Return to Innocence" samples Native American flute and singing, as does "Silent Warrior." Drum 'n' bass shows up on the dreamy "Age of Loneliness."
