Eric Reed

Eric Reed spent the 1990s recording with Wynton Marsalis and releasing solo albums for Impulse and Verve Records. He has always been an artful and entertaining jazz pianist, but for whatever reason -- be it maturity or a lack of commercial pressure -- this 2006 set for the boutique label Maxjazz stands up as his finest to date. No bull, no fuss, just fantastic piano jazz from start-to-finish.
