Fee Waybill was lead singer for the Tubes, those ultrasmart, ultrasatirical purveyors of theatrical performances and pseudo prog rock. He still creates AOR, but with a distinctly more Adult Contemporary bent, as if he knows that the audience who used to smirk with him now needs its daily fix of Lite Rock and Blue-Eyed Soul. The arrangements sound professional (and slick) and he's got a strong, ready-to-belt voice. "White Punks on Dope," indeed.
