About
Fernanda Takai is the lead singer of the Brazilian rock band Pato Fu, which began recording in 1993 and has continued to release albums on a semi-regular basis. The group's electronica-brushed sound owes as much to northern bands as to tropicalia forbears like Os Mutantes and Caetano Veloso. Takai is married to Pato Fu guitarist John Ulhoa; the couple had a daughter in 2003. Takai released her first solo album five years later, the well-received Onde Brilhem os Olhos Seus, which saw her covering Nara Leao's signature songs.
