Fisher Stevenson

About

Like many teenagers drawn to music, Fisher Stevenson left home for his chance at the brass ring, ending up in Austin. Eventually, Stevenson formed the band Big Blue Heart and signed on the dotted line with Geffen Records. Stevenson made an impression on producer T-Bone Burnett and country legend Rodney Crowell, but despite the accolades, the band was dropped from the label. Years later in Nashville, Stevenson signed a publishing deal. "When I finally arrived in Nashville," he says in his bio, "I was signed as a songwriter, and when I began writing with people here in town, I felt like I was at home for the first time. I feel like I tapped into a gold mine here -- a gold mine of beautiful, meaningful and touching songs." Stevenson was signed by Big Machine Records (Taylor Swift, Trisha Yearwood) and released his solo debut in 2008.
