In the early 1950s, Frank Sinatra's Oscar-winning performance in From Here to Eternity also helped restablish his tattered recording career. Talk about a comeback -- Sinatra went on to become Hollywood's biggest film star of the era, reinventing himself as a best-selling, cutting-edge swinger. This compilation collects movie themes Sinatra sang during this period, as well as some key performances from musicals such as Pal Joey and Can-Can (although why Capitol excluded "It's All Right With Me," Sinatra's wrist-slashing ballad from the latter film, is anybody's guess).
