Free Design

Free Design was a supremely talented family band, and Chris Dedrick was its brilliant creative director and chief songwriter. Dedrick didn't want to go to Vietnam and kill people (or die like his brother did). So, Dedrick went to Canada to live, sadly making this the final Free Design album. It was released on a tiny East Coast label and sank without a trace. Financial success be damned -- there may be a point in your life when you need to sing along to Free Design's "Canada in the Spring" and imagine "green grass for a table in a park beyond your mind."
