Gary Louris

If Vagabonds was Louris extricating himself from the Jayhawks and Golden Smog, then this acoustic follow-up EP (containing six tracks from the original album) sees him dissolving the band format altogether. Louris is one of those rare artists who write songs so good, so pure that their magic withstands a stripping away of all ornamentation. In fact, "We'll Get By" and the awesome "She Only Calls Me on Sundays" just might outdo their predecessors in sheer desperation and heartbreak.
