The demonic battle axe bassist got glammy and cinematic on his 1978 solo album, especially on the intro to "Radioactive," which was inspired by kabuki horror films. Most of these songs just sound like KISS, but not a lot of people know that Simmons has a fawning fetish for John Lennon, as heard on the surprisingly beautiful Beatles-esque pop of "See You Tonite."
