Description

Closely related to, and sometimes indistinguishable from Death Metal, Grindcore evolved from the political and sludgy elements of Death Metal bands such as Napalm Death and Carcass. Grindcore songs tend to be very short and very fast, with a crusty, down-tuned guitar and low, guttural vocals. These purposefully obscure bands-including Capitalist Casualties and Atrocity-embrace anarchist politics while the equally obscure Anal C*nt and Agoraphobic Nosebleed are politically apathetic, playing mostly homophobic, scatological and misogynist tunes.
