George Carlin

The title routine is the perfect distillation of Carlin's genius for taking some mundane detail and -- with the analytical mind of a real pot head -- wittily picking it apart, eventually breaking it down to the smallest possible components and delivering the whole thing in a voice as elastic as a cartoon character. Carlin has the rare ability to act goofy and have it be shrewdly funny.
