Geto Boys

Released in '96, The Resurrection features the classic line-up of Scarface, Willie D, and Bushwick Bill, who had each gone their separate ways to record solo albums. It's good to hear the team back together again, though this album lacks the charm of their earlier LPs. There are definitely some hot tracks though -- most notably the vicious "Still."

Hip-hop has few sons more prodigal than Houston's Geto Boys, who set new standards of
violence, misogyny, nihilism and controversy on their 1990 album. But they redeemed
