We're not gonna lie to you: This EP from the usually dynamic duo is a little boring. That's partially because remix EPs are monotonous by definition, but also because this particular tune is no can't-help-but-sing-along brain-colonizer a la "Crazy." It's pensive and introspective, and the remixes (as well as new track "Mystery Man" and a live cut of "Neighbors") are almost selfishly so, as if the odd couple are too consumed with their own thoughts to be accessible. But if you're in the mood for a brood, Cee-Lo's voice has never sounded more hauntingly poignant as it does in these settings.
