This glowing, icy album lives in some alternate universe that's deserted and decaying yet weirdly beautiful, thanks to Allison Goldfrapp's revelation of a voice and songs that sneak in and curl up inside you. "Felt Mountain" is one -- so intimate it almost hurts -- and the carnival lullaby "Oompa Radar" is another.
