Graham Coxon

About

Guitar player from baggy-gone-Brit Pop-gone-sloppy-Lo-Fi band Blur delivers a solo experiment with some songs that seem to purposefully aim right between the eyes of a loose, American, indie rock ethic. Where in Blur he usually solos over hooky pop like a scattered six-string demon, Coxon's solo material seems dumbed-down into the kind of premeditated, monotonous guitar strumming, predictable distortion layers on the choruses, and indecisively pensive lyrics that trust-fund kids with beat-up Chuck Taylors and expendable record collections are sure to enjoy -- that is, until Coxon signs to a major label.
