Grand Archives' leader Mat Brooke is unlikely to get away from comparisons to his old gig with Band of Horses; these 11 songs are framed with the same spacious, harmony-rich environments. The Archives see things with a notably sunnier disposition, though, setting swinging pop tunes like "Miniature Birds" and "Louis Riel" against affable near-ballads. Given the warm-hearted context of the LP, even the hammy dub instrumental "Breezy No Breezy" manages to succeed.
