Another Gun Club LP that was initially ignored, Las Vegas Story (the perfect title for the fame 'n' failure obsessed Jeffrey Lee Pierce) actually is another solid outing. It's not perfect -- part of the problem is that the best tracks ("Bad America," "Give Up the Sun" and "Moonlight Motel") are buried on the superior second half -- but, c'mon, the whole thing is still darn good.
