Henry Mancini

Mancini was already a shy superstar whose melodies were loved by studio chiefs, screen sirens and average moviegoers when the sublime "Pink Panther" theme also made him known to generations of kids. The rest of this hit soundtrack is up to that high level, with loungey jazz, jazzy lounge and lush instrumentals augmented on the CD reissue by tracks from later Panther movies.
