When the now-defunct Henry's Dress hit their mark, they smashed it to bits, and when they didn't -- well, enough implied. For the most part, Henry's Dress surrounded themselves in sonic soundscapes that were, like a kid with a face full of spaghetti sauce, as messy as they were endearing -- not too unlike early Jesus and Mary Chain or Lazy-era My Bloody Valentine. With their guitar-propelled wall of sound behind them, this San Francisco-based band offered up childlike pop melodies that could stand up to repeated listens without losing luster -- or bluster.
