Iain Matthews

Released in 1971, If You Saw Thro' My Eyes was Iain Matthews first release after leaving the short lived Matthews Southern Comfort (which he formed after leaving Fairport Convention). This would be the first of many solo albums to feature his aching fusion of British folk-rock balladry and West Coast pop a la CSNandY. Bonus: not only does guitarist Richard Thompson play on half the album, but Sandy Denny and Matthews duet on the weepy title track.
