God Doesn't Care is the debut from an alt metal band taking their cues from Queens of the Stone Age rather than Creed. Songs like "Your Punk Sucks" and "Feed the Culture" depart from the norm, while "Breakdown" shows that Instruction can write good songs for the radio too.

Halfway through their debut, Instruction proclaim "Death to the 4 Car Garage Band"; two
songs later, they note that "Your Punk Sucks." God Doesn't Care is all about rocking the
suburbs without any pretensions. But the album is weighed down by its relentless guitar
sludge, which bears the stamp of producer Bob Ezrin. Ultimately, Care is a more routine
hard-rock record than Instruction probably had in mind.
