Jah Wobble (born John Wardle in Stepney, London, in 1958) is one of modern rock's great Man Fridays. He guided his old chum Johnny Lydon into arty experimentation with PIL, filled London dance clubs with dub-tinged World music and helped the likes of Sinead O'Connor and Primal Scream. His current solo projects mix arty ambient rock with spacey drum-and-bass. If you can't get Brian Eno, give Mr Wobble a call.
