Rhapsody

On the opening track, Jaheim declares himself "the true voice of RnB," and he takes his cues from the old masters of the genre on his fourth studio album. "Hush" is a quiet, svelte seduction, recalling the golden years of Vandross and Pendergrass. Even when he tries to adopt modern RnB tropes ("Life of a Thug"), his full, resonate voice grounds his songs in gospel and soul traditions.
