Man, how many fine ladies is Jesse McCartney courting these days? From the sound of his new album, the teen idol (a robust 19-years-old upon this disc's release) gets more play than the "Dance Dance Revolution" machine in the Mall of America. "Take a deep breath while I blow your mind," he tells a lucky lass on "Blow Your Mind," and he might just as well be referring to his record's production, a great big grab bag of tricks borrowed from pop stars like Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson: huge guitars, tightly compressed bass kicks and choruses so massive they could influence the tides.
