About

John C. Reilly is best known as an actor who turned in fantastic performances in Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Talladega Nights, to name just a few of the more than 50 movies he has appeared in. Reilly owns the distinction of appearing in three separate movies in 2002 all of which were nominated for Best Picture by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences -- The Hours, Gangs of New York and Chicago. In 2007, he starred in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, in which he played a singer who finds fame, loses it to drugs and then regains it, redeeming himself in the process. Reilly did all his own singing in the movie, and a soundtrack was released alongside the film. Before Dewey Cox, Reilly was nominated for an Academy Award for his part in the musical Chicago and sang “The Night Chicago Died” on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but it’s the infamous scene in Boogie Nights, where he and Mark Wahlberg perform Stan Bush's "You Got the Touch," that Reilly's genius with sub-par material particularly shines.
