John Lee Hooker

This 2004 release collects hard-to-find tracks recorded in 1949 by the most prolific bluesman who ever lived. The thing about Hooker is that it doesn't matter if he's played the riff before or even in five other songs -- his voice and clomping foot make it a new experience every time. He runs through a number of standards and unknown cuts with an acoustic guitar.
