Some 16 years after hitting the scene, Philly's Josh Wink is still inspiring higher states of consciousness. When a Banana's stone-classic take on house and techno should inspire dancefloor slippage galore. Sounding like a cross between Plastikman and Radio Slave, lead single "Counter Clock 319" is a memorably massive slab of grinding 808s and elastic bass, while tracks like the conga-battered "Jus Right" give tech-house a meaty, tribal touch. Aiming for hugeness (and generally hitting the mark), Wink doesn't sacrifice subtlety on this hypnotic, powerhouse set.
