Joyce is the right singer to pay tribute to Elis Regina, the tragically short-lived Brazilian wonder. She wrote the opening cut in honor of her friend (along with a couple of other numbers here), but spends the rest of the album shedding new light on songs associated with Elis Regina. Musically adventurous, Joyce also knows how to sit back and serve the song. Inspired.
