Where 2004's Tres Cosas sometimes threatens to slip into a narcoleptic haze, Segundo pulses with slightly more manic energy -- witness the handclaps of "Martin Fierro" or the uncharacteristically upbeat guitar work of "Que Llueva!" But Molina still knocks even the most straightforward song off-center with brilliant and delicious knob-twiddling trickery.
