June Christy

This aptly-titled LP finds the cool-toned vocalist singing standards and rarely-recorded cult items, all backed by a small jazz group led by her husband, saxophonist Bob Cooper. Christy's version of "Bewitched" is definitive and the complex title cut fit her downbeat(nik) image to a tee. The bonus tracks are from a jazz reading of a Broadway show that the Coopers also did.
