One of the bleakest ballad albums ever. Christy recorded this "piano and vocal" disc in the wee hours after she wrapped up the orchestral sessions for Something Cool, so the strain on her pipes is evident -- she'd already been singing for hours. Coupled with Kenton's dark piano style, her tired voice makes songs like "Just the Way I Am" all the more powerful.
