Keith Hudson

Most of Keith Hudson's criminally out-of-print classics have finally been reissued, and now roots/dub fanatics can celebrate the long, long overdue re-release of 1979's Brand, the dub version of the equally classic Rasta Communication. Hudson, who passed away in 1984, was supposed to be the next Marley, except he was a better lyricist and a far more innovative musician. Brand is anything but pop-market pandering; it's dense and moody like an ocean fog that refuses to dissipate.
